Ruffle Bodysuit |Why You Should Be Rocking This Trend

In Fashion, Outfit of the day by wR23Fs2Sqi29 Comments

I’m about to be real with you guys. Now don’t judge me but this ruffle bodysuit makes me feel girly and glamorous in all the right ways! Girly or feminine are not words I would use to describe myself. I was very much a tomboy growing up, just ask my mother. She can tell you plenty of horror stories of trying to get me to dress like girl. She never got to enjoy any of those cute moments with me. Fast forward to her seeing me in this outfit and there’s a big smile on her face.

I’m a big fan of bodysuits and I’m so glad this 90’s trend is back. I just wish I had kept mine because I had some really cute ones. Anyhow, back to bodysuits – I love how they give you a streamlined silhouette. And you can wear them with just about anything and always have the perfect tuck. This ruffle bodysuit is a statement in itself so I decided to keep the rest of my look pretty simple with this pencil skirt. And then I added my red clutch for a splash of colour.

  1. The oversized ruffle on that LBD makes it out of this world. And I love the red clutch! You look like a million bucks!!

  2. What a beautiful outfit Jackie. The bodysuits should really be an essential part of our wardrobe. Ps. Thanks for sharing your childhood tommboy story. I’m sure it will motivate many girls and mothers

  3. This looks amazing on you! The bodysuit is so flattering and fits you perfectly. I keep wanting to try one, but I am tall and think I need to find one to try on in store.

  4. Nothing fits as good as a bodysuit does! It almost looks like it’s tailored to everyone’s body! You look absolutely gorgeous girl, those ruffles are so fun.

  5. Now, I know I said this on Instagram, but I must reiterate and say it again, you look AMAZING, girl! Seriously, you look stunning! I love the way you did your hair to allow for the ruffle OTS detail on the body suit to come forth, which looks great paired with the skirt, creating the illusion of a dress. I agree with all the reasons why you suggest wearing a body suit, they really are versatile and so easy to style. Haha, you know, I went through a really long stage of being a tomboy myself. My mom told me that both her and my god-mother would always buy me beautiful earrings and I would yank them off and through them away, lol! Or, they’d get me dresses and I’d refuse to wear them. It’s funny how things change when you get older, isn’t it?! Of course you know my fingers are crossed that Baby A won’t follow my footsteps as a kid and allow me to dress her in all the girly things for my own sake, haha. Thanks for sharing, beauty, and I hope you’re having a great start to your week so far!

  6. I love this look! You’re right, the bodysuit is so feminine! It just looks so sleek with the black skirt too! Fabulous!
