Simple Ways To Transitional Your Winter Outfits To Spring

In Fashion by Jackie S.8 Comments

Hi guys, I know life right now seems a little scary and unsettling. Things are changing at such a rapid pace that it’s hard to keep track. This leaves many of us feeling anxious, fearful, sad and vulnerable, myself included. But we can rise up together as a community and support our family, friends, and neighbors by following protocol – Wash your hands frequently, practice social distancing. Stay home if you are not feeling well. We are all in this together and we need to lead with love and not fear. We will get through this.

Even thou spring is right around the corner, the temps are still below zero and we still have snow on the ground. Which is not unusual for us here in Winnipeg or any other cold-weather city. You want to ditch the heavy layers for all those cute lighter and brighter spring pieces that are calling your name. Trust me I’m right there with you. However, there are still some cold-weather pieces you should hold on too, to help you create some super chic winter to spring outfits. So, let’s talk about transitional pieces.

Spring Transitional Pieces

Wear over the knee boots with a cute spring dress or mini dress. And throw on a lightweight jacket and you’ll be chic and warm

Shop Dresses:

Don’t toss your chunky knits or cashmere sweaters into the ‘see you next winter’ pile. Instead, try wearing it with a maxi skirt or culottes. It’s a simple and chic transitional outfit.

Shop Skirts:

Wear a boyfriend blazer as a lighter jacket. It’s a classic and easy transitional layer.

Shop Blazers:

Culottes are the perfect transitional bottom layer. They look super cute paired with ankle booties right now. Go bold and try a leather culotte.

Shop Culottes:

Trench coats – Lightweight and perfect for layering. Plus they always make a great statement coat. To make it fresh this season look for different materials like silk, satin, rayon, etc.

Shop Trench Coats:

Light wash denim and relaxed silhouettes – Try vintage or lighter washes or even different silhouettes like straight leg, high waisted, flared or bootcut.

Shop Denim:
