Happy Friday! Last weekend was Thanksgiving for us over here in Canada and we got hit with one of the worst snowstorms we’ve had in a while. And it wreaked so much havoc. You would think that we were used to snowstorms around here, but this Colorado Low was something else. It left most of the Province in the dark without power. We were lucky and only lost power for a short time amount of time and I was still able to cook Thanksgiving dinner for my family. Which we were all was so thankful for that. As of today, there are still thousands of people without power. Mother Nature can be a force to reckon with but it’s also a great reminder of how easily we take for granted something as simple as hydro.
I just love this boyfriend blazer. Which is funny because when I bought it I had a little bit of buyer’s remorse. I wasn’t sure I was going to like wearing it. But as it turns out, it ended up being one of my go-to blazers over the summer and right into fall. Yeah, I wore it a lot. Maybe too much! Lol! I think blazers are one of the most versatile pieces you can have in your wardrobe. Especially when it comes to putting together a workplace outfit… They can be worn over a shift dress or top and they can take your look to the next level when you wear them with jeans. Think casual Fridays, date night or even brunch.
Another thing I love about a boyfriend blazer is that there’s more room which means you can wear just about anything underneath it. You can belt it or wear it as an overcoat too. There are so many styling options for getting the most out of it. It’s a win-win in my book.

Right, a crazy snowstorm early October is crazy and rare even for us. But most of the snow has since melted…fingers crossed it stays away till November. Hope you’re having a fabulous weekend!
Where did you purchase the blazer?
Hi Gwyn, I bought the blazer from Vero Moda. They don’t have this exact one in the store anymore but Asos does have a similar Vero Moda blazer on their site. Thanks for stopping by!
Very nice, I really like the sleeve roll up,the dark satin. The shoes work. You wear this look well!
Thank you Bonita for the kind comments. I like to roll my sleeves, it polishes off the look and shows off the lining too 🙂
I hope you’re having a great weekend!
I swear, blazers ALWAYS look the best on you. And I love how you paired it with those leather pants. So edgy, yet classically cool.
