Met Gala Part 2 : Likes, Dislikes, and the In-betweens!

My favourite looks from last night are:

Anne Hathaway knocked it out of the park with her newly dyed platinum hair and black vintage Valentino gown. It was racy and hot! This makes up for her Oscar disaster.

I’m not a big Jlo fan but I have to giver her credit here, she looks pretty fierce in this Michael Kors gown. Here hair and make up is pretty amazing too.

Emma Watson was a little vixen last night in this midriff baring Prabal Gurung. Hot!

Cara Delevingne looked gorgeous in this studded column Burberry gown. So fierce!

Rooney Mara is white hot in this Givenchy gown. I’m not crazy about the ruffles but I absolute love the low zipper and bold lip colour…so amazing against her skin tone.

Miley Cyrus in Marc Jacobs…I think she nailed last nights punk theme to perfection…She made punk sexy without showing any skin! Gotta give her props for that.

Sienna Miller held her own in this white Burberry Gown and leather studded jacket.

Sarah Jessica Parker gets props for the best mohawk headdress which was designed by Philip Treacy! Her gown was designed by Giles Deacon and her thigh high boots were designed by Christian Louboutin just for her!

Now for the my Dislikes:

Gwyneth Paltrow, what happened? After all the fab dresses and outfits you wore during your press week tour for Iron Man 3, this is what you show up in? Really?? Talk about disappointing. This Valentino dress is beautiful but not meant for a Punk themed Met Gala!

Gwen Stefani in Maison Martin Margiela. I’m just not crazy about this look. Is it punkish, yes. But I just expected more from her given ska roots.

Kate Perry in Dolce & Gabbana. I actually really like this dress, the detail is beyond amazing! I just don’t think she was the right person to pull this look off. Now that being said her make up is really pretty 🙂

Minka Kelly is wearing a long sleeved Carolina Herrera gown. This is a fail for me because I don’t feel that it fits the punk theme. Aside from that it’s a beautiful gown.

Amanda Seyfried in Givenchy. Just not into this look at all! I don’t even know what to say.

Kate Bosworth is wearing Balmain. This pains me because I LOVE BALMAIN and this look is at the end of the day, just pretty in pink with no punk elements:(

I call these the In-betweens because I can’t decided if I love ’em or hate em’:

Madonna Givenchy’s look is either a love or hate…she definitely brought the punk, which I like but is she trying too hard? I don’t know and that’s why I’ve put her here.

Blake Lively looks elegant in this Gucci number but not much punk going on here…maybe in the train but that’s stretching it. High glamour punk?

Kristen Stewart is wearing a Stella McCartney jumpsuit. I do like this jumpsuit…just not on her. I feel like there was something missing.

Rosie Huntington Whiteley brought the glam last night in this gold and black Gucci gown…but I just feel indifferent to it.

Kirsten Dunst wore a Louis Vuitton gown…I like the bottom half but just not sure about half.
