How To Wear Red For Spring

In Fashion, Outfit of the day by wR23Fs2Sqi33 Comments

Why hello March! I don’t know about you but I’m so ready to ditch the layers and start wearing some spring pieces. Even thou it’s still a bit chilly over here, I’ve already dumped my heavy winter jacket. I mean if you wear spring pieces then spring will come faster, right?! Lol! Did you watch the Oscars? I don’t think I’ve ever watched the Oscars from start to finish but I always watch a bit of the red carpet 🙂 And then I’ll watch the start of the show and the very end…just to see who gets the big awards. What about you?

What do you do when it’s too cold to shoot outside?? You find somewhere cool like the Vero Moda store and help them show off their spring collection.

Red has been going strong since the fall, we’ve seen it trending in everything from outerwear to footwear. So, it’s no surprise that it continues thru into spring. It’s one bold colour and can be somewhat intimidating to wear. After all, there are so many different shades to choose from. As well as different ways to wear it. It can be as simple as wearing a red accessory, which is something I usually do. Or go bold and wear it from head to toe. I have to say, these pants are certainly a little out of my comfort zone but I’m kinda loving it.

I chose to pair these faux red leather pants with this vibrant floral printed kimono top. It has a great relaxed fit with v neckline and self-tie waist. The pops of red pair well with my red pants. But this top can easily be paired with black pants or skirts and denim too.

How do you feel about wearing the colour red?

Have a great week!

xo, Jackie

Thanks Zoë! I usually wear small doses of red, so this is a little out of my comfort zone but it’s kinda fun 🙂

  2. YASSSSS!! This outfit is FIERCE honey!!
Totally agree with you on the ditching of layers! I am so ready for winter to be over!
We are constantly tempted with periods of warm, spring-like days only for it to get cold and close to freezing again a a day or two later.
    GRRRRRR!!!

Thanks babe! I totally feel your pain! We got hit with that east coast storm last night. There’s so much snow today and it’s still snowing

  3. I absolutely love the way you’ve styled those fab red leather pants, girl! They’re such a fun piece to play around with for much of the year. The floral kimono adds the perfect spring touch and the fact that it’s a dark floral makes it a great piece for this time of year in particular when we’re (slowly) transitioning into spring. You know, for some reason, in recent years, I haven’t really taken an interest in award shows. I don’t know why. I think it’s because I often forget when they’ll be on and end up doing something else, haha. Thanks for sharing, beautiful, and I hope you have a great week ahead!

PS: You should wear red more often, it looks SO good on you!

Thanks Jalisa! You’re slowing bring color into my life. These pants are a little out of my comfort zone but I think that’s what makes me love them. Weird, right? As for the Oscars… it was kinda of a snooze fest this year, especially the red carpet. Hope you have a great week

  4. Wow, you look amazing! I hardly ever wear red, don’t know why. It’s a beautiful colour. Happy week love!
