Oh, hello October! I Hope you had a great weekend! We spent ours at the lake since the weather has been so nice. Fingers crossed it sticks around 🙂
In the past, I wouldn’t have called myself a fan of ruffles (on me) but it’s funny how our style changes as we get older. When I was a kid, my mom would always try to make me wear pretty dresses, especially ones with either bows or ruffles. And I would always end up ruining them because I was such a tomboy and rejected anything girly. She eventually gave up because I think she secretly knew I would embrace my feminine side one day. Lol

It took me awhile but lately I find myself gravitating towards more pieces like this ruffle top that have a bit of a feminine/romantic flair to them.
I feel like ruffles act as their own accessory and for that reason, I kept my jewelry simple and opted for leather leggings and a snakeskin clutch to add a touch of edge.

    Hahaha!! I totally feel you on wearing things you thought you’d never wear as you get older.
    Me in ANYTHING animal print will be the MF DAY, lol!
    But I like your take on ruffles. Its’ a classier version of what we used to wear as kids with a layer of elegance to it. Great choice babygirl <3 <3

    I used to be such a tomboy too! But I loved dressing up too. Church was always my days to dress up when I was younger. 🙂 In middle school I started dressing up all the time. I love this look on you. Those leather leggings are HOT. Keep working it, Jackie. You look great.

    You are so right about ruffles being an accessory! I adore this look from head to toe. I love that you added some edge you your blouse with the leather leggings and heels!
