Fashion, lights, great Dj and beautiful hot summer weather! All the makings for a fashionable night out at the Winnipeg semi-final fashion show in the Mercedes-Benz Start Up program! And I had the pleasure of being invited to attend and check out Winnipeg’s emerging fashion talent.
For those of you not familiar with it, Mercedes-Benz Start Up was created to discover and support emerging Canadian fashion designers in the business less than five years. After a countrywide search, judges will select one talented designer who will win a year of industry mentorship and the opportunity to present their collection at World MasterCard Fashion Week in Toronto.
Pretty amazing right? And let me tell you, Winnipeg has some phenomenal talent brewing over here on the prairies
The three semi-finalist from Winnipeg were:
All three designers were beyond amazing but there could only be one winner…Congratulations to Eliza Faulkner who will now head to Toronto to compete in the finals!
