Denim is personal, right? And sometimes finding that right style and cut can feel like a losing battle. Am I right ladies? And I find it so annoying when I go from store to store just so I can try on a variety of styles. I’ll be the first to admit I have a lot of pairs of skinny jeans but even just finding the right cut can be time consuming. There’s nothing worse than that defeated feeling when you can’t find the right fit that has enough room for your perky black butt… it’s never a good scene for me.
Last weekend, I had the pleasure of checking out Mark’s newly expanded denim collection. And I will admit I went in cautiously optimistic thinking maybe I might find a pair of Levi’s that I like and nothing more… But I was so wrong! Not only do they carry several brands like Levis, Silver Jeans Co. and DH3 but they also have a variety of different fits, lengths and rises (sizes).
And to my surprise, I found several different styles that fit me perfectly which naturally made me want to take them all. But in the end, I decided that these Silver (Suki cut) cropped skinny jeans needed to join my closet. The distressed detailing and frayed hems sold me instantly. Also, the Suki cut is mid-rise and has a relaxed fit through the hip and thigh so no gaps at the waist…which is perfect for my small waist but perky African butt and hips 🙂

Fun fact: Silver Jeans Co. was founded right here in Winnipeg and they continue to manufacture their jeans locally to this day.

P.S. On my last Post, I mentioned that I was going to be a part of Fashion On Ice. It was such a fun event and I got to wear a very cool and edgy sleeveless dress with fringed bib on top from Prairie Chic. You can see it here.
