Banana Republic has gotten a major facelift thanks to Marissa Webb! Yes, I realize this is old news but I can’t stop obsessing over some of the new pieces from their latest look book.
Webb joined the company this past April as creative director and executive vice president of design. Not only does Marissa have her own contemporary label but she also served as J.Crew’s head designer for more than ten years. Thus making her a fab choice to add a little high fashion sass to the brand. Honestly I’ve never really been a big fan of their clothes, I found them to be a little too “office wear” and not in a good way. But that’s just my opinion! However, this latest collection is anything but that! Gone is that all too familiar and boring aesthetic, the new look is bold, daring and edgy.Source
This is the first collection since Webb joined the company, although she didn’t design this collection… Clearly you can see her influence on the brand. Sadly, we will have to wait until summer 2015 to see her first collection from concept to store but this is one blogger who is very excited to see what she has planned!
