Cropped Wide Leg Pants With Platform Slip-ons

In Fashion, Outfit of the day by wR23Fs2Sqi21 Comments

Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Mine was pretty low key, the hubs had to work (boo!) most of the weekend. Which was ok because I wasn’t feeling too well and spent most of Sunday in bed. I hate being sick during the summer but it’s been cold and cloudy with rain for the last week so I don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything. By the way, tomorrow is the first official day of summer! Yay!!

How do you feel about cropped wide leg pants? Personally, I love them. So versatile. You can wear them with bodysuits, fitted tops, turtle necks, cute t-shirts etc. Not to mention, wide leg pants are super comfy and look great on just about everyone. Plus, they are a great alternative to skinny jeans (or pants), especially if you are over that trend. And you can easily dress them up or down with a simple change of accessories and footwear.

Moms Aren’t Always Right

I happened to be at my mom’s before we shot these pictures and she immediately fell in love with these pants. Side note – she loves anything with pleats. And then she looked down at my shoes and said, “oh Jack, please don’t ruin them with sneakers!” As you can see, I chose to style my pants with platform slip-ons because pleats intimidate me. They feel very “girly” to me which isn’t a bad thing. It’s just out of my comfort zone. I always like to add a bit of edge anytime I’m wearing something feminine. That being said, you could easily style these cropped wide leg pants with a great pair of heels, wedges or sandals.

  1. Oh, I saw simular trousers this weekend and I thought: oh my, I love those pants! Wonderful! How stylish and elegant and trendy! And the color is also fabulous!

  2. Lol at moms not always being right! You know, I love your style strategy, inserting something that feels more true to your style, while venturing out and trying something different, I think it makes the outfit more authentic and unique. That said, I do love the look of cropped pants, like the ones you’re wearing, especially in a color like yours because they really do go with so much and can be easily dressed up or down as you’ve mentioned! Thanks so much for sharing, beauty, and I hope you’re having a great week so far!

  3. I am sorry you didn’t feel well and hope you are better now. This has been such a busy couple weeks for us with the move and family in town. I’m sorry I am just now visiting to see this great post! I personally love cropped, wide leg pants. I think these look so good on you. One of the many reasons I like them is because they show off fun shoes so well. Your platforms are so cool!

  5. They are so cute and I have yet to try them out. You look so good in them. I feel that they never look right on me because my legs are so built. Happy your mom loves them. Pleats are so cute and really trendy. They never go out of style.
