Yellow Trench Coat

In Fashion, Outfit of the day by wR23Fs2Sqi106 Comments

Happy Monday! I hope you guys had a great weekend. My weekend was interesting, Friday night I had dinner with a good friend and it was really nice to catch up. Earlier on I managed to cut my thumb pretty badly with a knife, I’m on of those people that should never be allowed to use sharp knives. I’m super accident prone in the kitchen…then to add a little more drama to my weekend, I managed to set off the silent alarm at home and had the cops show up. Embarrassing! And while trying to take outfit pictures, a couple of wasps decided this yellow trench coat was a good place to call home.

I can’t blame them because I fell in love this trench coat the minute I saw it. I’ve been looking for a lighter spring jacket and wanted something fun. And also at a great price point because our spring weather can be hit or miss. Anyhow, this yellow trench coat does not disappoint. I love that this bright bold colour adds just the right amount of contrast to my outfit. The material is light weight so it can be worn now and again in late summer. Or wear it as “cardi” at the office to keep you warm especially on those days when the air conditioner is working overtime.

Coat: c/o Shein   Top: Target  Pants: Splendid  Bag: Elliott Lucca  Heels: Fieber  Ring: Stella & Dot

Bracelet: Hudson Bay

Hope you guys have a great week!

Thanks for stopping by 🙂

xo, Jackie

Thank you Raysa! Hope you’re having a great start to the week!

  2. Oh my!! I hope your finger heels quickly. I’m so accident prone as well. *sigh* You definitely had a very dramatic weekend…the cops. Ha! Well, thank God you weren’t in danger. Oh, those wasps! I had bees following me during my shoot as well. Haha! I see why the wasps were attracted to that trench. It is gorgeous and vibrant.

This was one of my favorite color combos ever (bright yellow/neon & cobalt). This ensemble is pure perfection from head to toe. I hope you have a fun, but less dramatic upcoming weekend. Xx

Thank you so much Vanessa! You’re always so kind to me, I really appreciate it.

  6. Haha, how awful all those things that happened to you, but most of all about the silence alarm. I used to have(many years ago) a boss who drank to much and every weekend when he came home, he lived above the store, he could not remember the code and then they called me in the middle of the night if it were burglers or my boss!

Thank you boo In hindsight it was kinda funny but embarrassing nonetheless.

  7. Police, Wasps, Bloodshed…and you came out the other end on unscathed (hmmmm, apart from the cut finger/thumb/hand) in this fab number. I loooove this colour, the material, length: its soooo meeeee. And the envelope clutch is fab. I’m glad its got much warmer where you are, it took a while, but the weather got there, haha! ( :

  8. Love your outfit and that pop of yellow! Sorry to hear about your thumb I’m definitely one of those people that should not have access to sharp objects either haha. I’m sure the cops also didn’t mind coming to your house 🙂

  9. Oh no, I’m so sorry to hear that you had all of these things happen this week, but you look absolutely stunning! I love that yellow trench, the color looks amazing on you and I love the waterfall shape to it. I also love that you added another pop of color with the blue, which compliments it so beautifully! Thanks so much for sharing, beauty, and I hope you’re having a wonderful week so far!

  12. What an awesome look Jackie! The coat is a drool but you elevated it so much with your styling that looks like a luxury couture piece! Love the colour pop and vibrant contrasts here!
I hope your finger is well now, I had also a pretty good cut in my thumb last time I was preparing a salad like every time I am in the kitchen. The silent alarm incident sounds hilarious haha!
