Outfit Of The Day: Scary Heights

As I’ve mentioned, before I have a shoe addiction. I can admit it. But no intervention required:) In fact, I can always justify to myself every shoe purchase. But every once and awhile even I have to shake my head and ask myself “what was I thinking”?!? Case in point, these booties I’m wearing today. Now in my defence, I bought these funky babies online and the heel height didn’t seem so outrageous at the time. I mean after all, I am only 5’4”. So wearing a pair of heels that are 5 inches high really isn’t that crazy. Right? At least that’s what I thought at the time, until they arrived. You see I was blinded by their beauty and failed to realize that the front of the shoe also had a hidden 2 inch platform…which in most cases wouldn’t be so bad with a 3 or 4 inch heel but 5 inches!! Even I have to admit that could be pose a problem. Sigh! I have to be honest here, by the end of the day, I was happy to get out of these skyscrapers. As much as I loved the height and as good as they made me feel, they were challenging to get around in. Unlike the song these boots aren’t made for walking. Lesson learned…for now:)

This was moments before I stumbled 🙂

  2. This made me laugh! I think we’ve all kept at least one wild piece in life. The colors are so much fun, though! Kudos to you for getting around in them. I’m such a klutz, I stumble in flats sometimes. I’m still a huge fan of heels, though.

  3. I agree I totally have one massive shoe addiction!!! LOL! Love these booties, they are so funky and cool on you but I don’t think I could walk in them. The dress is gorgeous and you belted it perfectly!

  4. I know they were scary but they look fierce on you. I have a pair that feel like stilts too. I always have to be so aware when I have them on. Hopefully you get more comfy in these because they are cute, just be careful pretty!
