Gingham Dress | How To Wear Gingham For Spring

My relationship with prints has always been, proceed with caution. I tend to stick to basic prints that are typically on a smaller scale and are predominately black & white… I surprised myself when I picked this gingham dress. Honestly, I saw the sleeves first and immediately I knew I wanted the dress. It wasn’t until I received the dress that I noticed the gingham print. I know, how could I miss that?! What can I say, I was blinded by the sleeves 🙂 The statement sleeve trend has got me obsessed. And I know this will be one of many that you will see on me.

This is my second order with eShakti and once again, I wasn’t disappointed. If you’re not familiar with eShakti, they’re a women’s clothing company that offers sizes 0-36W, as well as an array of custom sizes and styling options. Which is great if you’re a hard size to fit. I mean who doesn’t want the ability to choose your neckline, sleeve or length. And all at affordable price points too. I will say the fit was a little big in the chest area but I ordered the x-small as I thought it would be a perfect fit. In hindsight, I should have used the custom sizing because I’m very narrow across my shoulders and chest. Overall, I’m pretty happy with my dress and I’m still surprised that I’m wearing gingham prints!

Anyhow, back to the gingham print. I don’t know why I was always afraid of this preppy print. I’ve loved it from a distance…you know, looks good on everyone but myself. However, I was overthinking it because it really is a print that looks great on everyone. Whether it’s a minimal (like me) or over-sized gingham print, it just comes down to finding the right scale that works for you.

  5. I’m still on the fence when it comes to gingham but I really love the dress! Mostly because the gingham pattern is small.

Right?! You better post a picture of your gingham top!!! I already know I’m going to love yours!

  7. Jackie, You look amazing in this dress. I love it on you. Gingham print is so fun and trendy. So happy you are getting into it. Eshakti is a perfect brand to work with. I love that you can customize anything and everything. I customized a jacket through them once and I loved how it turned out. Fit like a glove. Next time you will have to customize like you said. The sleeves stuck out to me as well I also love how you added that red into the look. Black, white, and red always go so well together. I also think the length of this dress is perfect. Not to long and not to short.
